The science of canine longevity has just been given a new boost in Brazil. Petlove, the country's largest pet ecosystem, has entered into a strategic partnership with PetMoreTime, a healthtech company dedicated to applying discoveries in geroscience to dog care.
The aim is to give Brazilian owners greater access to personalized programs that seek to prolong the vitality of their animals and prevent diseases associated with ageing.
Geroscience, the field that investigates the biological mechanisms of ageing in order to propose interventions that promote health and well-being, has made consistent progress in recent decades.
PetMoreTime was born in this context, co-founded by American scientist Matt Kaeberlein, an international reference in canine ageing and founder of the Dog Aging Project. The company's proposal is to integrate geroprotective molecules - compounds capable of slowing down biological aging processes - with continuous monitoring technologies, resulting in personalized care protocols.
With the partnership, Petlove will act as an expansion platform, taking advantage of its market capillarity and consolidated relationship with millions of tutors across the country.
The longevity program
PetMoreTime's program, which is now available as a subscription, lasts 14 months and includes specialized veterinary monitoring. During this period, the protocols are adjusted individually, according to clinical data and metrics obtained through continuous monitoring. Implementation will be gradual, with a focus on quality of care and measuring the effectiveness of results.
Interested owners can sign up directly at www.petmoretime.com.br. The process begins with an online clinical screening conducted by the healthtech veterinary team, which assesses the dog's eligibility for the program.
Unprecedented in Brazil
Although geroscience applied to human medicine is already widely discussed, its systematic application to dogs is still an emerging field. Initiatives like this position Brazil at the forefront of the practical translation of this science, offering not only treatments, but also preventive strategies based on evidence.
